The Arkansas Water Resources Center (“AWRC”) announced the initiation of the Arkansas Water Webinars Series (“Webinar Series”).
AWRC states that the Webinar Series will be held on a monthly basis on the last Thursday of each month.
The events will be announced months in advance and are currently scheduled for the following months:
- March
- April
- May
- June
- August
- September
- October
Because the organization’s annual water conference will be held from July 16-18, there is no webinar in July.
The first webinar is titled:
The Arkansas Discovery Farms Program: Lessons Learned and Looking to the Future
The webinar speakers will include:
Dr. Shannon Speir
Arkansas Discovery Farms Research Lead
Crop, Soil and Environmental Sciences Department
University of Arkansas, Fayetteville
Dr. Mike Daniels
Arkansas Discovery Farms Extension Lead
Crop, Soil and Environmental Sciences Department
University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service
The webinar is stated to address what are described as “critical lessons” that have been learned about water quality from across the Arkansas Discovery Farms. It will also address future research and extension plans for the program.
The webinar will be held on March 28th from noon to 1:00 p.m.
