Ozarks Water Watch (“Ozarks”) announced that Ms. Cathy Stepp has been named its new Executive Director.
Current Executive Director David Casaletto will drop Executive Director responsibilities and continue in the role of President of the organization.
Ozarks states that Ms. Stepp’s environmental work experience includes:
- U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) Regional Administrator (Region 5)
- EPA Principal Deputy regional Administrator for Region 7
- State Cabinet Secretary of the Wisconsin Department Resources
- Wisconsin State Senator with service on the Environmental and Natural Resources committee
- Wisconsin Natural Resources Board citizen appointee
Ozarks describes itself as a nonprofit organization working to preserve the water quality of upper White River Watershed, located in Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas which includes the rivers, streams, and four major impoundments, including:
- Beaver
- Tablerock
- Taneycomo
- Bull Shoals Lakes
