The Beaver Watershed Alliance and Arkansas Water Resources Center have announced that the Beaver Lake Watershed Symposium (“Symposium”) will be held on September 29th in Elkins, Arkansas.
The organizations state that the focus of the symposium will be on “Forest for Source Water Protection.”
Presentations at the symposium are scheduled to include:
- Components of a Healthy Forest
- Urban Forest and Community Forest Management
- Forest Management within Devil’s Eyebrow and Hobbs State Park
- Forested Land and Water Quality in the Beaver Lake Watershed
- Arkansas Forest and Drinking Water Collaborative
- Forest Management from a Landowner’s Perspective
The program will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. and will take place in the Elkins Community Center.
