The Buffalo River Conservation Committee (“Committee”) will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, June 29th, at 9:00 a.m. via Zoom.
A Committee was established by Governor Hutchinson in 2016 in order to develop an Arkansas-led non-regulatory approach to identify opportunities to protect and maintain water quality in the Buffalo River Watershed.
Agenda items are stated to include:
- Update from focus area working groups
- Cost-share Programs for Agriculture
- Unpaved Roads
- Water and Wastewater System Infrastructure
- Tourism and Tourism Impacts
- Review from Legislative Session
- Act 785 (Note this provides legislative authority for the Committee)
- Additional Business
