American Clean Power (“ACP”) (a trade association) has issued an August 2024 Report titled:
Clean Energy Investing in America. (“Report”).
ACP describes itself as the:
…leading voice of today’s multi-tech clean energy industry, representing over 800 energy storage, wind, utility-scale solar, clean hydrogen, and transmission companies.
Statistics found in the Report include:
- Announcement of 500 billion dollars in clean energy investment at 160 new manufacturing facilities/facility expansions.
- 100,000 related manufacturing jobs announced.
- 460,000 Americans currently employed by the clean energy industries.
- 300 GW of clean power capacity announced.
- 55 GW of clean power capacity installed.
The Report includes a map of the United States identifying clean energy projects that have been built and breaks them down into the following categories:
- Solar.
- Energy storage.
- Wind.
- Offshore wind.
Investments are also broken down by the same categories.
The Report also lists online and operating clean energy facilities by state. A similar list is provided for clean energy facilities that are under development and announced.
