Drain Smart is once again soliciting applications for artists to propose semi-permanent murals to “communicate the link between street liter, storm drains, and water quality.”
The organization states that the art should “make people think twice before disposing of anything down a storm drain.”
Information related to the solicitation includes:
- Application deadline – Friday, March 16th
- Artist notification – Saturday, March 31st
- Orientation meeting (must attend if entry is chosen) – Sunday, April 8th or Tuesday, April 10th
- All art must be completed by Monday, June 4th
Submissions are required to include:
- A sketch (minimum size 8 1/2 x 11 inches) of the design idea
- Completed application
- Brief concept description with the title of the piece
- Short artist biography
