The Beaver Watershed Alliance (“BWA”) has scheduled a “Virtual Forestry Management Workshop for Landowners” (“Workshop”) for September 8th.
BWA’s Daniel Hagood states that the Workshop:
. . . will be a great opportunity for landowners with any amount of forested land to learn about enhancing management goals for longevity, land and watershed stewardship, and wildlife habitat. . .
The speaker will be Brittan Stancil who is a Forested Watershed Specialist with the Arkansas Department of Agriculture – Forestry Division of Northwest Arkansas.
Topics addressed will include Forestry Division services such as:
- Prescribed burns
- Fire breaks
- Special funding for landowners near public forest
The Workshop will be held on September 8th from noon until 1:00 p.m. via Zoom with a question and answer session to follow.
BWA states the program is sponsored by the following organizations:
- Arkansas Forestry Association – Education Foundation
- Project Learning Tree Arkansas
- Beaver Water District
