The Glass Recycling Coalition (“GRC”) is conducting a survey on glass recovery efforts.
The survey is stated to be targeted to those involved in the recovery of glass such as:
- Haulers
- Material Recovery Facilities
- Community Program Managers
- Recycling Coordinators
- Glass Processors
- End Users and/or Manufacturers
GRC states that the survey will collect aggregate data that will include:
- Types of glass collection programs
- Motivation for glass recycling
- Challenges in community recycling programs
The survey was previously conducted in 2020.
The 2023 survey will in particular attempt to determine how glass recycling programs have been affected by:
- COVID-19 pandemic
- Recent market conditions
The survey will be conducted online and is managed by Resource Recycling Systems.
GRC describes its mission as collaboration:
. . . across the entire glass recycling value chain to break down barriers and build opportunities regionally to keep glass in the recycling stream, meet and grow end-market demand and build awareness of the benefits of glass recycling.
A link to the survey can be found here.
September 22nd is the deadline for responding to the survey.
