The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC”) has scheduled a roundtable discussion addressing the:
Impact of Electric Vehicles on the Transmission System and Wholesale Electricity Markets ("Roundtable")
See Docket no. AD21-5-000.
The Roundtable will address:
- Increased deployment of electric vehicles (“EVs”)
- Increased deployment of EV charging infrastructure nationwide
- Impact on and value to the FERC-jurisdictional transmission system
- Impact on wholesale electricity markets
The objective is stated to include identification of questions that both the FERC and energy industry will need to address as deployment of EVs increases.
The Docket Notice states that the Roundtable will be held electronically over WebEx and broadcast on the FERC website. It is open to the public and will be held on December 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Supplemental Information will be issued prior to the Roundtable addressing the agenda and organization.
