Pursuant to a partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service the Beaver Watershed Alliance (“BWA”) is instituting a pilot program for providing grants for high tunnels.
The grants are available to Beaver Watershed landowners.
The purpose of the program is to encourage the cultivation and availability of native plants in the region.
BWA states in regards to costs and criteria:
This cost-share reimburses participants in the construction of a seasonal high-tunnel and for the purchase of a starter kit of native plant materials, up to $4,000. Participants will be required to attend four short classes directly related to the program (online classes are in development).
A fact sheet can be found here. For additional information and an application (due June 30) please email nate@beaverwatershedalliance.org.
