The pace of state regulation in response to COVID-19 hasn’t slowed. In the last few days, many states have (1) waived or extended certain licensing requirements for agents and adjusters; (2) urged carriers to allow grace periods for premium payments, temporarily suspended premium payments, offer payment plans, and take other actions to keep existing coverages in place through the duration of this crisis; and (3) created special enrollment periods for the uninsured.
REMINDER: We will distribute an updated version of this chart twice a week for the foreseeable future, highlighting new material. We are in the process of developing additional tools to assist our clients as the regulatory landscape continues to change in response to this pandemic.
