The October 1st edition of the publication Ozarks Water Watch references the development of a document denominated Missouri Conservation: Design for the Future.
David Casaletto of Ozarks Water Watch (author of the article) was asked by Missouri Department of Conservation (“MDC”) Director Sara Parker Pauley to serve in a stakeholder group to assist the agency in developing the strategic plan.
The document serves as a planning template for the Missouri Department of Conservation for the time period FY 19-23.
The strategic plan’s three goals include:
- MDC Takes Care of Nature
- MDC Connects People with Nature
- MDC Maintains Public Trust
The strategic plan includes 14 “outcomes” and a number of what are denominated “targeted objectives.”
A copy of the strategic plan can be found here.
