(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) — Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. is pleased to announce Christina Chen, Erica N. Linville and Shadai N. Walker have joined the firm in Little Rock and Anna Cunningham and Abby Hart have joined the firm in Rogers. All are 2023 law school graduates and join the firm as associates.
Christina earned a juris doctor from the University of Arkansas Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in international business and marketing from Arkansas State University. She will focus her practice on general corporate and municipal finance matters. Prior to joining Mitchell Williams as an associate, she worked as a law clerk for the firm where she assisted business attorneys with general corporate matters and research. She also served as a legal extern at Veterans Affairs and as a legal extern in Global Governance – Ethics at a global company.
Erica earned a juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law where she volunteered in the Tax Clinic and supported clients involved in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Central Arkansas. Prior to joining Mitchell Williams as an associate, she worked for the firm as a law clerk where she partnered with attorneys on a wide range of general corporate matters and research. She also served as a law clerk in the office of the Arkansas Attorney General. Erica will practice in the area of business transactions and general corporate matters.
Shadai earned a juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law where she was a staff editor for the UA Little Rock Law Review. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, in economics from North Carolina A&T State University. Prior to joining Mitchell Williams as an associate, Shadai worked as a law clerk for the firm where she assisted insurance regulatory and business attorneys with general corporate matters and research. She also served as an extern at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Shadai joins the insurance regulatory practice where she will focus her practice on researching and reviewing state legislation and regulation to assess the impact on the business of insurance in various states and assist on regulatory filings and compliance matters.
Anna earned a juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law where she was president of the Business Law Society and served as the article editor for the nationally recognized Journal of Food and Law Policy. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Anna will practice in litigation focusing on insurance defense and general commercial litigation matters. Prior to joining Mitchell Williams, Anna worked as legal extern in Food Safety Compliance and Global Supply Chain Compliance for a global company and in the General Counsel’s office of a transport services firm.
Abby earned a juris doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law where she was vice-chair of the Board of Advocates and a representative to the Student Bar Association. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in communications. Prior to joining Mitchell Williams as an associate, Abby worked as a law clerk for the firm where she worked on medical liability defense cases, tort matters, licensing bard complaints and insurance defense cases. She will practice in the areas of litigation, general commercial litigation, medical liability defense, wrongful death defense and insurance defense.
