Diggs, Esparza, Wewers Join Litigation Team; Hendrix, Melton Join Business Group

(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) — Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. is pleased to welcome Sharnae Y. Diggs, Elizabeth Esparza, S. Grace Wewers, Breanna M. Hendrix and Jessica Melton and to the firm. Diggs, Esparza and Wewers are joining the litigation practice. Hendrix and Melton are joining the business group.
Diggs earned a juris doctor from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law where she was awarded the Dean’s Certificate of Distinguished Service. She holds both a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in African American studies from Arkansas State University. Prior to joining the firm, she clerked for the Honorable Lavenski R. Smith, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Diggs will practice in the Little Rock office where she will work in commercial litigation.
Esparza earned a juris doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law where she was note and comment editor of the Arkansas Law Review. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Arkansas. She is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Esparza joins the office in Rogers and will practice in commercial litigation and data privacy and cybersecurity.
Wewers earned a juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law where she was associate editor of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Law Review. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Wewers joins the Little Rock office and will practice in commercial litigation, medical malpractice and insurance coverage disputes.
Hendrix earned a juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. While earning her juris doctor, she served on the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law Moot Court Board. She graduated from Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies. Hendrix will practice in the areas commercial transactions including real estate, lending, corporate governance and entity formation in the Little Rock office.
Melton earned a juris doctor, cum laude, from Tulane University School of Law and graduated with a master’s degree in global development from Tulane University. She has a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Vassar College. Prior to attending law school, Jessica worked as a teacher and as a supervisor in nonprofits. Melton joins the Rogers office where she will practice in the area of business transactions and general corporate matters.
