The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Research and Extension and the United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service are hosting a virtual field trip titled:
Farm Surface Water Irrigation Aquifer Issues (“VFT”)
The VFT will be held on March 19th at 10:00 a.m.
A focus of the VFT will be critical groundwater areas. Featured during the VFT will be:
- Dabbs Farm
- Marion Berry Pump Station
Speakers will include:
- Lori, Terry, and Trent Dabbs – Arkansas Discovery Farms, addressing farm water conservation practices
- Ed Swaim, Executive Director of Bayou Meto Water Management District, addressing Bayou Meto Project and using rivers to reduce groundwater overdraft
