The Association of Clean Water Administrators (“ACWA”) released a document titled:
Nutrient Reduction Progress Tracker – Version 1.0 – 2017 Report 2018 (“Tracker”)
Nutrients in the Clean Water Act context refers to nitrogen and phosphorous.
ACWA notes that the report:
- Summarizes data received through the organization’s Tracker
- Is the first of a series of reports on state progress to reduce nutrient loads based on information from the Tracker
The Tracker is stated to seek data and information from multiple nutrients topic areas such as:
- State strategies
- Monitoring
- Assessment
- Non-point sources
- Point sources
- Drinking water
