Combining her experience in private practice, work in state government and her wealth of knowledge as a certified public accountant, Robbi Riggs is a business attorney dedicated to advising clients on transactional matters throughout Arkansas, Florida and the mid-south. She represents banks, developers and other business entities in commercial real estate transactions including purchases, leases and loans. Robbi also provides legal counsel on the formation and reorganization of business entities and the preparation of tax filings.

Experience

  • Assists real estate developers, real estate investment trusts (REITs), private equity investors, property managers, construction contractors and retailers in commercial purchases and leases.
  • Represents banks in documenting and structuring secured and unsecured loans.
  • Drafts and reviews contracts, operating agreements, bylaws and other corporate governance documents.
  • Assists in counseling clients on state and local tax matters, including income, franchise and sales and use taxes.
  • Advises clients regarding land use issues, zoning changes and other governmental approvals.
  • Managed the relocation project of the Arkansas Attorney General’s office to the historic Brooks Building in downtown Little Rock, which included vendor bidding and selection, lease negotiations, revision of state historic tax credit rules and compliance, building design, furnishings selection and moving logistics.
  • As former Deputy General Counsel to the Arkansas Attorney General, negotiated all Attorney General contracts and served as counsel for various state agencies.
