The United States Environmental Protection Agency Office of Inspector General (“OIG”) issued a June 2nd “Project Notification” titled:
Evaluation of EPA’s Controls Over Land Application of Sewage Sludge (“Project Notification”).
The June 2nd Project Notification states that the following question will be addressed:
Does the EPA have and implement controls over the land application of sewage sludge that protect human health and environment?
The Project Notification originates from Christina Lovingood, Land Cleanup and Waste Management Evaluations, Office of Program Evaluation and is directed to Michael H. Shapiro, Acting Assistant Administrator, Office of Water.
