An electric vehicle fast-charging station will be opening in Little Rock, Arkansas, in July.
Franklin’s Charging Station #1 (“Station”) is located on a .46 acre site at 724 Woodrow Street.
The owners describe the Station’s amenities and configuration as the first of its kind in the State of Arkansas.
The Station will be powered by a 30 kW solar array. Further, the Station includes:
- Four DC fast chargers
- One level #2 charger
- Air station
Amenities will include:
- Vending/Seating inside and out
- Rotating food trucks
- ‘Tiny bar’
- Indoor garden capable of producing up to 9,000 edible plants
The charging Station, refreshments, snacks, and bathroom are scheduled to be accessible 24/7.
The owners state that sustainability was incorporated in the Station’s development. It is currently being planned as an LID utilizing stormwater drainage, native plantings (tree, scrubs, grasses), and lighting.
The Station will be opened sequentially with the garden, charging facilities, and lounge tentatively set to be in operation in late July. Bar and food truck operations are projected to follow in subsequent months.
