The United States Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) And Woodgrain Millwork, Inc. (“WM”) entered into an April 12th Consent Agreement (“CA”) addressing alleged violations of the Clean Water Act.
The CA states WM owns and operates a construction site (“Facility”) located in Emmett, Idaho.
The CA provides that WM has discharged pollutants from a point source into waters of the United States.
The CA alleges that on August 24, 2017, EPA, during an unannounced inspection, observed the discharge of pollutants from the Facility into an on-site unnamed channel which flows into waters of the United States. Further, WM is alleged to not have acquired a Clean Water Act NPDES or Construction General Permit.
WM neither admits nor denies the specific factual allegations in the CA.
The CA assesses a civil penalty of $20,000.
A copy of the CA can be found here.
