A Program titled Sustainability & Resilience Planning in NWA (“Program”) will be held on July 18th at the Fayetteville Public Library (Willard & Pat Walker Community Room) in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The objective of the Program is to review planning efforts to:
…help Northwest Arkansas be more sustainable as our region continues to grow and develop.
Program topics will include:
- City of Fayetteville’s Climate Action Plan
- Northwest Arkansas Energy & Environment Innovation Plan
The Program is also stated to address what it describes as:
…a new online mapping tool developed to help local landowners, planners, and decision-makers identify ecologically valuable land that will assist them in their efforts to improves sustainability and resilience in our region.
Speakers at the Program will include:
- Peter Nierengarten, P.E.
- Environmental Director for the City of Fayetteville, manages the city’s Sustainability and Resilience Department.
- Tim Conklin, AICP
- Executive Director for the Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission.
- Eric Fuselier, ENV SP
- Environmental Project Manager at Olsson and an Envision Sustainability Professional.
