The Arkansas Forestry Association (“AFA”) announced it is holding a workshop titled:
Technology in the Forest Workshop (“Workshop”)
The workshop will be held June 14-15 in Monticello, Arkansas.
The workshop is described as an:
. . . interactive workshop to learn about technological advances in the field of forestry. This 2-day educational workshop will include presentations and in-the-field site visits. Participants will also meet and learn from natural resource professionals and members of the forest industry who are in the field conducting this work on a regular basis.
Session topics include:
- Surveying
- GIS/GPS
- Drone technology
- Useful phone app technology
- Timber Harvesting Equipment
- Technological advances in the field of forestry
Registration is stated to be $40 per person for each session, which includes lunches, field transportation during the workshop, materials and resources.
