The Beaver Watershed Alliance (“BWA”) has scheduled its next presentation as part of its Beaver Watershed Alliance quarterly Speaker Series.
The presentation is titled:
The Hydrogeology of the Beaver Lake Watershed (“Presentation”)
The Presentation will be held on December 5th in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the Washington County Extension Office Auditorium.
Guest speakers will include:
- Darcia Routh – Arkansas Department of Health
- Dr. Phillip Hays – United States Geological Survey
The Presentation will focus on the groundwater hydrogeology of the Ozark mountains in general and the Beaver Lake Watershed specifically. This will include a discussion of both the deep water aquifers underlying the Boston Mountains – Ozark Highlands Region and the shallow groundwater systems more immediately affected by human activity.
Attendees who are expected to benefit from the Presentation include:
- engineering professionals,
- environmental professionals,
- land managers,
- elected officials,
- decision-makers, and
- landowners.
