The Biden Transition Organization (“Transition Organization”) has named its agency review team for the United States Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”).
Transition teams were named for all departments and agencies including the United States Department of Energy and The Council on Environmental Quality.
The Transition Organization states in its November 10th news release that:
. . . Agency review teams are responsible for understanding the operations of each agency, ensuring a smooth transfer of power, and preparing for President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris and their cabinet to hit the ground running on Day One.
The Presidential Transition Act requires that the Transitional Organization disclose for each agency review team member:
- Most recent employment
- Sources of funding
Further, the Biden Transition Organization states that its agency review teams have three types of agency review team members:
- Volunteers
- Full-Time Transition Employees
- Detailees
All members of the EPA agency review team are listed as volunteers except for one individual.
