CARDS Recycling (“CARDS”) President Dan Christensen is the subject of the March 2022 cover story in the publication Waste Today.
CARDS is a Springdale, Arkansas, based company that describes itself and its affiliates as operating hauling companies, transfer stations, recycling centers, recovery centers and landfills in a number of states.
The title of the Waste Today cover story is “Making His Mark.”
Author Haley Rischar describes Mr. Christensen’s initial start in the solid waste sector 20 years ago as a “litter picker” at a landfill in Illinois while attending Eastern Illinois University. She overviews the latter part of his early career subsequently working for Prairie State Waste Services and Republic Services through the subsequent creation of his first waste company in 2014 (i.e., DC Trash of Illinois).
As noted in the article, after selling DC Trash to Lakeshore Recycling Systems (“LRS”), Mr. Christensen founded CARDS Recycling in 2017 to serve the Arkansas waste market. The company is noted to have developed operations in other markets such as:
