The White House issued a February 2nd document titled:
Interim Guidance Implementing Section 2 of the Executive Order of January 30, 2017, Titled “Reducing Regulation and Controlling Regulatory Costs” (“Interim Guidance”)
The document provides guidance in the form of Questions and Answers addressing Section 2 of the January 30, 2017 Executive Order which provides in part:
Unless prohibited by law, whenever an executive department or agency. . .publicly proposes for notice and comment or otherwise promulgates a new regulation, it shall identify at least two existing regulations to be repealed.
The issues addressed by the Interim Guidance include:
- General Requirements
- Coverage
- Accounting Questions
- Process and Waiver Questions
